Major Projects - Remaining Phase of Site Formation and Engineering Infrastructure Works at Kwu Tung North and Fanling North New Development Area - Detailed Design and Site Investigation Remaining Phase of Site Formation and Engineering Infrastructure Works at Kwu Tung North and Fanling North New Development Area - Detailed Design and Site Investigation Project Number: 7828CL Brief Description of Project Scope: The Remaining Phase Works mainly cover – (a) site formation of about 247 hectares of land (including soil treatment works) in the Kwu Tung North (KTN) and Fanling North (FLN) New Development Area (NDA) for housing, community, commercial and other developments as well as engineering infrastructure works; (b) engineering infrastructure works including Fanling Bypass (Western Section), Po Shek Wu Road Flyover, new interchanges together with widening of Fanling Highway for connection with KTN NDA, local roads, cycle tracks, drainage, sewerage, waterworks, pumping stations, fresh water and flushing water service reservoirs, and landscaping works; and (c) implementing the environmental mitigation measures for the works mentioned in (a) to (b) above. Contract: Contract No. ND/2024/01 - Kwu Tung North New Development Area, Remaining Phase: Site Formation and Infrastructure Works (South) Scope: The works mainly comprise site formation of lands (including site clearance and land decontamination works) and ground investigation within Kwu Tung North New Development Area (KTN NDA); construction of at-grade roads within KTN NDA connecting to Castle Peak Road (Kwu Tung Section) and Fanling Highway; construction of a vehicular bridge connecting proposed Road L1 and Road L2; construction of footbridges at proposed Road P2; construction of noise barriers and low noise road surfacing; construction of common utility enclosure and associated works; construction of a visitor centre; and ancillary works including footpaths, cycle tracks, lighting, traffic aids, drainage, sewerage, water mains, district cooling mains, landscaping works, slope works and electrical and mechanical works.
