Major Projects - Site Formation and Infrastructure Works for Public Housing Developments at Tseung Kwan O Site Formation and Infrastructure Works for Public Housing Developments at Tseung Kwan O Project Number: B808CL Brief Description of Project Scope: The scope of works comprises – (a) site formation works and construction of associated retaining structures and slopes; (b) widening of sections of the existing Ying Yip Road, and improvement works at associated roads and junctions; (c) modification of a roundabout at the junction of Ying Yip Road/Po Ning Road/Sheung Ning Road to an at-grade signal-controlled junction; (d) construction of a pedestrian footbridge across Ying Yip Road with associated lift tower and ramp; (e) construction of a shelter structure along footpath at a section of Po Fung Road southbound; and (f) ancillary works including landscape, drainage, sewerage and waterworks, etc. Project Office in Civil Engineering and Development Department: Housing Projects Unit, Civil Engineering Office Consultant: Ove Arup & Partners Hong Kong Limited Status: Construction commenced in September 2021 Contract: Contract No. CV/2021/03 Scope The works mainly include site formation works of land platform with a total area of about 3 ha, construction of footbridge, noise barrier, road widening/ junction improvement and ancillary works including drainage, sewerage, waterworks and landscaping works. Commencement Date 23 September 2021 Completion Date 2026 Contract Sum $602 million Contractor China Road and Bridge Corporation Contract No. CV/2021/04 Scope The works mainly include site formation works of land platform at Yau Yue Wan and Pak Shing Kok with a total area of about 5 ha, construction of one new covered walkway, improvement of pedestrian crossings and ancillary works including drainage, sewerage, waterworks and landscaping works.
