Major Projects - Trunk Road T4 in Sha Tin Trunk Road T4 in Sha Tin Project Number: 7705TH Brief Description of Project Scope: The works mainly include: construction of a dual two-lane trunk road of approximately 2.3 kilometers in length with slip roads connecting Shing Mun Tunnel Road/Tsing Sha Highway and Sha Tin Road; widening of a section of Sha Tin Road near Pok Hong Estate of approximately 150 meters in length, from a dual two-lane carriageway to a dual four-lane carriageway; construction of three elevated footpaths across Che Kung Miu Road, Shing Mun River Channel and the proposed trunk road near Sha Tin Tau Village respectively, and one elevated footpath cum cycle track across Lion Rock Tunnel Road for reprovisioning of existing pedestrian and cycling facilities affected by the project; ancillary works including civil, geotechnical, drainage, sewerage, water, utilities, lighting, landscaping, electrical and mechanical works, construction/reconstruction/demolition of noise barriers, construction of retaining walls and slope improvement works; and implementation of environmental mitigation measures and environmental monitoring and audit programme.
