Tenders invited for Phase 2 Stage 1 improvement works at Tai O Tenders invited for Phase 2 Stage 1 improvement works at Tai O ************************************************************ The Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) today (May 27) invited tenders for the contract for the Phase 2 Stage 1 improvement works at Tai O. The project aims to enhance traffic and pedestrian circulation and address the problem of inadequate parking spaces at Tai O. The works mainly comprise: * construction of a public open space, a public transport terminus, a public car park for private cars, a loading and unloading area, a cycle parking area and associated roadworks at the western end of Tai O Road; * provision of on-street parking spaces for coaches and goods vehicles at Lung Shing Street in Yim Tin; and * landscaping and ancillary works. The works are scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2016 for completion in the third quarter of 2019. The CEDD has commissioned Mannings (Asia) Consultants Ltd to design and supervise the works. Interested contractors may obtain the tender forms and other particulars from the company at 5/F, Winning Commercial Building, 46-48 Hillwood Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. The invitation to tender was gazetted today. The closing time for the tender is noon on July 8.
