Approval of the sewerage scheme was gazetted today (October 23). The sewerage scheme comprises the following: (i) construction of rising mains, gravity sewers and associated manholes for the Tung Chung New Town Extension; and (ii) ancillary works including temporary closure and reinstatement of carriageways, footpaths and open space. Construction works for the scheme by the Civil Engineering and Development Department are to be carried out in conjunction with the road works of the widening of Tung Chung Road North. Details of the sewerage scheme were published in the Government Gazette on May 25, 2018; June 1, 2018; April 18, 2019; and April 26, 2019.
