Brief Description of Project Scope:
bioremediation treatment of the contaminated sediments over an area of about 90 hectares of seabed at Kai Tak approach channel and Kwun Tong typhoon shelter;
dredging of about 13 hectares of seabed at Kai Tak approach channel;
repairing and reinstatement works to the embankments of the associated waterways;
demolition of a disused dolphin connecting to the former airport runway; and
provision of necessary environmental mitigation measures and implementation of an environmental monitoring and audit programme associated with the above works.
